WA Police Supporting Road Trauma Support WA

Injury Matters | October 20, 2017

One of Road Trauma Support WA’s key relationships, since the service first began in November 2013, has been with the WA Police Force, in particular the officers who serve in the Major Crash Unit.

To this day, the majority of referrals to the service come through Major Crash and it is a vital means of connecting those injured with services that support their rehabilitation and well being once the crash scene has been cleared.

More recently RTSWA has been working with the three major Traffic Enforcement Groups in the Perth metropolitan and outer metropolitan area, introducing the service and providing information on how it operates and letting officers know about the workshops that are available to them to support the work they do.

This relationship is one which now extends throughout WA and the entire RTSWA team acknowledges the force’s ongoing commitment and support.

Road Trauma Support WA was featured in the recent edition of the WA Police magazine From the Line which goes out to all serving police officers throughout WA.
