RTSWA Ambassador reunited with those who saved his life

Mark Daniels remembers little of the horror motorcycle crash that claimed his right leg and very nearly his life.

But in the 17 months since, one thing he has often thought back to is a female voice urging him not to give up as he lay critically injured in the ambulance.

So badly hurt was the 24-year-old navy technician, he could not remember to whom the voice belonged. That changed this week when he was reunited with the paramedics who saved him, including Rachel Halbert.

“When I heard Rachel’s voice today it was her,” Mr Daniels said. “It’s been weird because I have had this voice inside my head when I think back.”

Mr Daniels was riding on Port Kennedy Drive in December 2015 when he was T-boned by a turning car and thrown from his bike into the bushes.
