Unintentionally hurting another person is perhaps the worst thing most of us can imagine doing. To have caused serious damage or even death is unthinkable. Yet, for many of us, this is the reality we will now have to live with.

How on earth do we cope with the intense feelings of guilt, regret and sadness? What if we have killed or seriously injured someone we know and love?
